Biography
Dr. Bang-Bin Chen is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Radiology in the Medical College of National Taiwan University, and serves as an abdominal radiologist in the Department of Medical Imaging of National Taiwan University Hospital since 2008. He received his bachelor’s degree of Medicine at the National Taiwan University and master degree in Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine of
National Taiwan University. He completed his residency in Department of Medical Imaging of National Taiwan University Hospital. He also received one-year training for PET/MR as a research fellow in the Langone Medical Center of New York University during 2013-2014.
Dr. Bang-Bin Chen’s clinical interests include using functional MR imaging techniques for evaluation of disease of the liver and pancreas. His clinical research activities focus on finding noninvasive imaging biomarkers in abdominal cancer. He has more than forty peer-reviewed publications, most of which are related to the use of MR imaging biomarkers to predict response and evaluate outcomes in oncologic patients. After receiving training as a research fellow for PET/MR, his research interest also extends to the clinical application of MR/PET, especially treatment response evaluation and prognosis prediction using multiparametric imaging, radiomics, and artificial intelligence in abdominal cancers. Dr. Bang-Bin Chen is a member of the Radiology Society of Republic of China, Radiological Society of North America, and European Society of Radiology.
